A majestic figure of a bearded man, unmistakably Roman Emperor Maximian Hercules, stands proudly in marble. He was created around 293 AD at the Roman villa of Chiragan in Martres-Tolosane, France. Archaeologists unearthed this masterpiece during excavations from 1826 to 1830. Standing tall, the sculpture measures a remarkable height of 43 cm, with a length of 26 cm and a width of 30.5 cm. Its significance is documented as Inv. Ra 34 b.
