Head of Eros Drawing his Bow
myminifactory
More than one hundred Roman replicas of the statue of Eros drawing his bow still stand today. The original was crafted by the Greek master sculptor Lysippos of Sicyon in the late 4th century BC. For the first time in Greek sculpture, the god of love is depicted in a youthful appearance with an ethereal face. This object is part of "Scan The World". Scan the World is a non-profit initiative launched by MyMiniFactory, through which we are creating a digital library of fully 3D printable sculptures, artworks and landmarks from around the world for everyone to access for free. Scan the World is an open-source community project, if you have interesting items nearby and would like to contribute, email stw@myminifactory.com to find out how you can assist.
