This sculpture, crafted by the skilled artisans at Andre Beauneveu's workshop, emerged towards the end of the 14th century. It represents a portion of one of several statues honoring the apostles, originally placed within the chapel of Mehun-sur-Yevre Castle (located in the Cher region), commissioned by Jean de Frace, the Duke of Berry himself.
