Head of a woman

We're still waiting for additional details on this matter. This artwork was examined at the Kumu Museum in Tallinn, Estonia, which gives us a good reason to believe that it was created by an Estonian artist since the museum focuses mainly on Eastern European art and is heavily influenced by Estonian culture. The vivid realism of this piece is characteristic of the latter part of the Soviet era: the government offered artists more freedom and actively encouraged them to depict everyday people, but only in a way that avoided criticizing the ruling regime.
