myminifactory
The headband worn by this athlete allows us to identify this sculpture as a vintage replica of the Diadumenos, a statue known for depicting an athlete securing their headband around their head. The original Diadumenos can be found at the National Museum of Athens, where it was created by the renowned bronze sculptor Polykleitos between 440-430 BC. This work is part of a larger collection celebrating athletic achievements. This object belongs to "Scan The World", a non-profit initiative pioneered by MyMiniFactory that aims to build a digital repository of fully 3D printable sculptures, artworks and landmarks from around the globe for public access at no cost.
