Head of a man

Head of a man

myminifactory

The head, its backside still unfinished, displays convincingly realistic and distinct features. The artistic style, a harmonious blend of Greek artistry and Italian tradition, is directly linked to Etruscan portraiture and the "Italic cubism" characteristic of the III century BC. Furthermore, the type of stone used was particularly well-suited to this specific genre. As the only known example of its kind, it has been roughly dated to fall within the timeframe between the III and II centuries BC.
