Roman replica (AD 1st c.) based on a Greek original from the 2nd c. BC.  In ancient Greek mythology, a satyr is a member of a tribe of male companions of Dionysus; they typically have horse-like ears and tails, as well as permanently exaggerated erections. They spent their days drinking, dancing, and chasing nymphs. This object is part of the "Scan The World" project. "Scan The World" is a non-profit initiative introduced by MyMiniFactory, which aims to create a digital archive of fully 3D printable sculptures, artworks, and landmarks from around the world for public access at no cost.
