Head of a Feminine Figurine at The Louvre, Paris

Originating from the Kéros province, this head in the form of a lyre, with a truncated nose, was part of a figurine that stood proudly with arms folded at the chest, legs together and feet extended, like many other idols created during this era. From proportions observed in various works from Kéros, it's estimated this statuette would have measured approximately 1.5 meters tall when complete, making it one of the largest known specimens of its type.
