Head of a Buddha or Bodhisattva
thingiverse
A fifth to sixth century Buddha or Bodhisattva head, possibly from Hadda in Afghanistan, is crafted from clay with embedded garnet eyes. Measuring 12.1 cm in height, 8.8 cm in width, and 18.4 cm in depth, this sculpture was acquired in 1986 via purchase. The scanning of the artwork was performed at the Metropolitan Museum of Art during the NYC Museum MediaLab Meetup 3D Funday using a Sense 3D hand-held scanner. The scan may have some roughness due to its initial nature. It's accessible under accession number 1986.2.
