Head of a Buddha MET

The Head of Buddha 3D Scan (Bodhisattva Sculpture) was created by 3DWP and is available under a Creative Commons license that allows for attribution, sharing, and adaptation. This project is a remix of the 3D scan from the Metropolitan Museum of Art. The original model had some flaws, including parts in mid-air and large blobs on the sculpture. I used MeshMixer to edit the model, removing these imperfections and adding details with different brushes. I also connected the head back to the base, which was not fully captured by the scanner. To make printing easier, I included two separate models: one with the original fixed design and another that splits the sculpture into two parts - the head and the base. This allows for a more efficient use of material and makes it possible to print the model in larger size.
