Head conformer

Head conformer

thingiverse

This is a crappy head conformer. This allows you to get a copy of a person's head shape. I used this to make a custom-fitted hat. I will post a new and better version which will be stiffer and easier to use in the future. This was all designed in freecad and made from nothing but reference photos. How to assemble: 1. Put bolts through the holes in the halo. I used number #8 fine thread. 2. put the pins slot through the bolt with the side with the tab up. 3. put your nuts on the bolts to hold down the pins. 4. put a rubber band around the pins on the side that has the hook on it. How to Use: 1. loosen the nuts on all the pins. This will allow them to move inward. 2. Next slide the conformer over their head. 3. As someone holds the conformer tighten down all the nuts again. 4. slide the conformer off their head slowly and gently to ensure none of the pins move. 5. lay the conformer on a large piece of paper or card stock. 6. Trace on the paper where the pins are. 7. you can then move the conformer out of the way and then can cut this out to make a custom hat block.
