HE280 Optional Light Mount
thingiverse
I picked up these incredibly affordable LED hat lights from a popular superstore where I also happen to work in order to repurpose them as layer lights for my printer. Since upgrading to the HE-280, my old chassis-mounted lights stopped functioning due to their proximity to the wider fans, so having an effector-mounted light became a significantly better solution. I applied a couple of small drops of super glue to the PCB where the two angled tabs align perfectly, and then wired it to the "Optional Light" tabs underneath the black cover. Here's a stock image showing the hacked hat lights I used. Others may work just as well or even better, but these particular ones function quite effectively.
