Disassembling an old hard drive allows you to extract the magnetic platter that stores all the data. These sleek magnetic disks are truly fascinating, and they can be repurposed into various creative projects. I recently transformed one into a functional coaster by printing custom parts, assembling it with a rubber band securing the legs in place, and then carefully inserting the disk.
