HDB BTO Window Cockspur Wedge
thingiverse
Some HDB BTO casement windows have this nylon plastic wedge for the handle/lever to bite on to close and hold the window fast against the gaskets. The lever is known as the cockspur design and this print is for that plastic wedge. See video: https://imgur.com/gallery/mKH3CQO I did not do a re-design of the original and opted instead to replicate it as closely as possible, even though it's a terrible design. By design it is weak (hence the need to print a replacement) as it is friction fit and the part is small and fragile where strength is most needed (the tiny stems underneath). Additionally if you print in PLA like me, expect it to be even weaker. Nylon is the original material. ABS is a good choice, though you might want to scale by 100.5% or so to account for shrinkage, as this part is very sensitive to tolerances since it is press-fit. You may print the test.stl which is a shaved down part to test your printer tolerance before printing the actual part. Print on the edge as in the STL preview, this ensures the best strength possible for the stems. Use supports for those stems. 0.2mm layer height is fine. At least 4 shells. Due to the high stresses this part will endure over normal usage, I would print this at maximum infill.
