A camera case and arm are needed to attach the innards of a Microsoft HD3000 to a Prusa i3 MK2 bed for smoother time lapses. A wide angle lens, available on ebay/amazon, is required. The one I purchased can be found at http://www.ebay.com/itm/252732341201. Print Settings: Printer Brand: Prusa Printer Model: i3 MK2S Rafts: No Supports: Yes Resolution: 0.2 Infill: 20% Notes: ABS or other high-temperature material only! Orange Zortrax z-abs at 250C was used, but the color is not a perfect match to the original Prusa orange. Post-Printing: Prepare: Ensure no oozing or blockages in the snap-fit area. Verify that original screws fit into pcb screw holes and that the arm fits snugly in the body. Lens screws should be secure as well. Assembly: Disassemble the HD3000, retaining screws. A video demonstrating this process is available at youtu.be/n6TQJI4boC0?t=6m22s. Cut off the original body using side-cutters, taking care not to damage wires. Desolder and cut three cables for the built-in mic. The mic can be stored inside the case if desired. Screw down the pcb into the case. Insert the old cable relief into its designated hole. Push in the arm. Attach the lid. Guide the cable through the groove. Screw on the lens. Mount the setup to a standoff on the printer bed and secure the cable to the bed frame.
