HC-SR501 Motion Detector Housing
thingiverse
This miniature housing is built for compactness and has a threaded screw hole for mounting. The circuit board features precise holes designed for 5mm x 1.5mm screws. A precisely formed double 90 ledge fits perfectly inside the lid, aiding in a tight seal upon final assembly. Additionally, a raised brim on the lens securely encases its square portion. Beneath the lid lies a narrow rectangular hole measuring 2mm x 6mm, directly aligned with three corresponding electrical contacts. Weather sealing is recommended for the unit; apply a thin layer of light adhesion silicone caulking for effective sealing. The design model was created using 123D Design software, inspected and refined by netfabb, sliced with Craftware beta on "high quality" settings to produce the g-code, and ultimately printed on a Craftbot utilizing black PLA at 220 degrees extruder temperature and 60 degree bed temperature. The plate beneath featured Kapton tape applied to an aluminum base. This printing process requires approximately 25 minutes to complete.
