Here's a replacement flexible axle used to fix Hayward skimmer flaps. The original version I created had to be printed vertically due to its design, but this proved to be a difficult and fragile process. I decided to create an alternative version that prints horizontally in a flat format without any supports. Initially, I printed the first version using PLA, however, I'm still unsure about the flexibility and infill settings required to allow for some give without breaking. It's also possible that printing with PETG may be necessary to achieve solid results. I was able to print and install the model successfully. The PLA version is flexible enough and provides a solid feel, but its durability in chlorine-rich environments remains uncertain. This is an initial share of my findings...
