Hawkex HK Receiver + Giessele handguard fix

Hawkex HK Receiver + Giessele handguard fix

This is a fix for the badly designed Hawkex HK receiver MkII using a Gieselle handguard. https://www.hawkextactical.com.au/products/ht416-metal-receiver-for-v2-series-toy-gel-ball-blasters https://www.hawkextactical.com.au/collections/handguards/products/smr-hk-416-handguard-m-lok Sadly, the receiver doesnt have the alignment tab in the top rail to stop the free floating handguards designed to suit the HK platform.I believe it was designed to work ONLY with their proprietory handguard. So sadly, the only workaround Ive found is to use this wedge, bolted into the gas tube (M6 I think?) mounting point on the front of the receiver to stop the handguard from spinning freely. You also have to grind off the alignment tab from the handguard. Its intentionally tapered to provide a good tight fit. While the rails still dont meet up (no idea why Hawkex did this), at least its now solid and usable.
