Having Myself a Merry Little Christmas
thingiverse
To create this unique ornament, I combined 3D design processes using SketchUp, Shapeshifter, Meshmixer, and Netfabb Studio, alongside Artec Studio scanning software and an Xbox Kinect. Assemble the parts with ABS glue made from dissolved scrap pieces in acetone, ensuring to use a glass container. Print using settings such as High Resolution (50% infill, 3 shells, .10 mm layer height) for detailed results, or Standard Resolution (50% infill, 2 shells, .20 mm layer height) for faster printing (reducing print time from over 6 hours to 3). Individual .stl files are provided for experimental color combinations or alternative ornament toppers.
