Hatuniye Medresesi - Mardin The Hatuniye Medrese, also known as the Sitti Radviyye Medrese, is considered a pioneering example of eyvanli medreses in terms of its architecture. The medrese was built between the years 1176/7-1184/5 and has undergone significant changes over time, losing its original form and its courtyard layout. The medrese's square area features two iwans, a revaked courtyard, and two levels. Despite the changes it has undergone, the main iwan still retains some of its original mihrab decorations from the Artuklu Period, which showcase rich stone craftsmanship. Next to the mihrab is a glass case containing the footprint of Prophet Muhammad. The eastern part of the converted mosque section features a dome-topped cubic tomb room, believed to be the final resting place of Kutbettin Ilgazi's mother, Sitti Raziye, who commissioned this medrese.
