Hattifattener snow mold
thingiverse
The Hattifatteners are ghost-like creatures that tower over most other beings, resembling long white socks in their slender forms. Their heads are spherical and neckless, featuring two round eyes that seem to stare out from the darkness. On either side of their heads are four or five finger-like projections that resemble human hands. These mysterious beings are silent and serious, lacking the ability to speak or hear, but possessing a heightened sense of feeling that allows them to detect even the slightest tremors in the ground. They communicate through telepathy, and their eyes change color in sync with the ever-changing sky above. The Hattifatteners also appear to be melancholic creatures, shrouded in an air of sadness. Despite resembling animals in form, these enigmatic beings have a unique origin: they grow from seeds. Planting Hattifattener seeds where someone has taken up residence is an effective way to evict them from their home. To bring the Hattifatteners to life, one can print them out using a 3D printer. The layer height can be set quite high without affecting the final product, as the ridges do not show up in the cast snow objects. To save on plastic usage, the infill ratio can be lowered to as little as 15%, and even lower settings would work just fine. Once printed, apply a suitable "snow mold release" such as candle wax to the interior surfaces of the Hattifatteners. Then, pack some well-compacting snow into the mold and get ready for fun. Releasing the cast items can be a bit tricky - perhaps not worth attempting unless the snow is perfectly wet and ideal for making snowballs. The face mold can also be used to create Hattifattener imprints in the snow, allowing users to capture their likeness in a more temporary and ephemeral form.
