Hathor

Hathor

myminifactory

The ancient Egyptian goddess Hathor is prominently featured in this scan, widely regarded as the original deity from whom all others were derived. Typically depicted as a woman with the head of a cow or in full cow-form, she appears here at The Louvre with only cow ears. Closely tied to the divine cow Mehet-Weret, a sky goddess whose name translates to "Great Flood," Hathor was believed to bring the annual flooding of the Nile River that nourished the land. Notice the floral motifs adorning her headdress, a design element commonly used by Sumerians. This 3D scan showcases an artifact from the Louvre Museum in Paris.
