Hathor at The Louvre, Paris

This piece embodies the four manifestations of divinity: at the center stands Hathor, a majestic cow, accompanied by a woman seated on her right - Nebet-Hetepet Iousas or symbols of the goddess of love relationships; beneath her nose, the cobra Wadjet, a serpent with a woman's head, and on her left, Sekhmet, a lion-headed deity. Dating from the Late Period, this monument is roughly carved into quartzite, measuring 67 centimeters in height, 73 centimeters in length, and 33 centimeters in width. The cow, woman, lion, and snake represent the four "faces" of Hathor. This object forms part of the "Scan The World" initiative.
