Hatchbox Spool Filiment Clip
thingiverse
Yet another spool filament (1.75mm) clip for Hatchbox "twin eye" spools finally does the trick! The others I've tried just wouldn't stay put, but this one snaps on tight and doesn't let go. Simply place it on at the eyes and leave it there - it won't snag the filament as you print along. When removing filament from the hotend, clip the end of the filament first (or it simply won't fit) and then gently poke it into the clip without moving the clip itself. Extend the clip a fair amount to prevent accidental slippage. If the clip starts to fall over while printing, try setting the skirt distance from object to zero to add more surface area to the platter. This should keep everything in place. It's also essential to remove any flash from inside the clip, particularly around the filament clamp, so that it works correctly. This can easily happen at the heat bed, but taking care of this small detail makes all the difference.
