Hatchbox Bearing Holder V2

I redrew my Hatchbox bearing holder from scratch. The concept is straightforward - it's essentially a hollow tube that nests snugly within a spool of Hatchbox filament. You can secure this tube by applying gentle pressure to the spool, allowing it to friction fit neatly into place. Next, simply insert bearings into the tube and voila, you have an improvised bearing system in minutes. At present, my holder features two skateboard bearings positioned within a hollow PVC pipe that's reinforced with a 1/4-inch piece of wood, carefully drilled out for precise fitment around the filament spool. The addition of Printerbot Simple Metal hardware takes this design to new heights of efficiency - the entire bearing assembly now works seamlessly in perfect harmony. On the drawing board are plans for another redesign, one that aims to improve compatibility with the Printrbot Simple Metal frame, enabling the spool to be positioned at a 90-degree angle. This upgrade promises to bring even greater stability and ease of use to an already reliable system. I created this innovative design using Rhino 5 software
