Hat Island stands out as a census-designated place (CDP) located in Snohomish County, Washington, United States. As of the 2010 census, the population reached 41 residents. Situated on an island within Possession Sound called Hat Island, also known as Gedney Island, the CDP holds its ground. One walk-on ferry, named the Hat Express, currently serves the island, carrying passengers on foot to and from the island. The ferry's maximum capacity stands at 88 passengers. Operating a limited schedule on Thursdays, Friday evenings, and weekends, it runs between the Everett Yacht Club located on the west end of 13th Street in Everett, and the Hat Island Marina.
