I have always had a pen with me for my job. I would jam it under the side of my hat at an angle so it was always on me if I needed it. The trouble is if you take off your hat forgetting the pen was there, it would fall to the ground or to the floor of your work van or worse... in a spot in between stuff you can't get your hand in to get it. That's where this nifty hat clip comes in. it holds a regular size round style ballpoint pen to the side of your cap. I updated version to the newest with a hook to latch on inside brim of hat.
