Learn how to create incredible 3D designs for your next 3D printing project with my expert class: https://www.PrintThatThing.us I'm thrilled to share with all fellow 3D printing enthusiasts out there my latest creation - a stunning low-poly hat! As an avid hat collector, being able to design and print one myself is truly exhilarating. This impressive model will perfectly fit most medium-sized printers if you decide to split it into two parts. You can watch me create this incredible piece in action by checking out the time-lapse video of my printing process without supports: https://youtu.be/BLVXMMoCT-0 Stay updated on all my latest 3D printing projects and adventures by following me on social media at: http://www.Youtube.com/PrintThatThing, http://instagram.com/printthatthing, and https://twitter.com/PRINTTHATTHING Let's dive into the design process! **How I Designed This** My incredible low-poly hat was designed specifically for the MakerBot Replicator 5th Gen. Here are the detailed instructions to print it: **Print Settings** * Layer thickness: .2 mm * No supports * Rafts: ON * Two shells I've also added an update that includes a new file called "myVYBES_CAP_wSUPPORTS_fixed" which has built-in supports. Print it the same way, then simply remove the supports when you're done. **Assembly** Once printed, I glued the CAP and BRIM together using Loctite - a strong two-part plastic bonder. After allowing it to set for a few minutes, my hat was solid and ready to wear! Don't hesitate to leave any comments or questions about this project below.
