A hasp serves as an external lock, commonly used on bathroom doors. It comprises three components: the male piece with a sliding pin, which is mounted to the door using its four 1/4" OD holes; the female piece, designed for the pin insertion and secured to the wall at the same level as the male piece; the pin can be slid in and out of the female slot to lock or unlock the door.
