Hasbro's Battle Droid Blaster upgrade kit is one of the most precise toy prop improvements they have ever released. That being said, it does have some minor flaws that this kit will help to rectify! The first part included in this upgrade kit is a more accurate barrel tip. The original stock tip on the toy is shorter than the screen-used piece, but this new tip is essentially identical, just a bit longer. It can be secured in place with adhesive and/or the screws that hold the original part in place. Next up is an upgraded magazine. This simply slides over the existing one and has a smooth mechanical fit. However, gluing it in place is recommended for the best hold. The stock magazine contains venting holes for sound effects, so this package also includes a vented version of the clip, as well as a non-vented version that's more screen accurate. Note that the non-vented clip will slightly muffle the sound. UPDATE 11/12/18 - We've now added barrel vent rings to the kit! The stock toy has completely open barrel vents, but the screen-used prop features recessed vents. These ring pieces fit inside to create this illusion, allowing you to see the barrel lighting through the opening of the new tip instead of through the vents themselves. You'll need to print two different parts: Barrel Ring Short (three times) and Barrel Ring Long (once). They will fit snugly into slotted sections inside the barrel. No supports are needed for the barrel tip, but they are required for the magazine. I highly recommend printing the mag with the open side facing up. DISCLAIMER: The barrel tip part file is designed exclusively for use with a fictional, non-firing weapon replica/toy. In accordance with safety laws, it should be painted or marked with a fluorescent orange color.
