In my design studies, I noticed that traditional rocking chairs have remained largely unchanged. Often, they can become cumbersome when in abundance. Moreover, these chairs are primarily associated with relaxation. Thus, I aimed to create a versatile rocking chair that is both fun and functional. Made easily in a fablab, it is suitable for indoor or outdoor use. The chair boasts robustness, stackability, and simple assembly using wood glue. It offers two seating positions: the conventional one and a reverse position resembling a wooden horse. The rocking curve ensures a low center of gravity to minimize falling risks and build confidence in users. Appealing to both adults and children, this unique rocking chair stands out with its simple design and playful aspect.
