Harry Potter Wands - Rufus Srimgeour

This is my own version of Rufus Scrimgeour's wand from the Harry Potter series, divided into two parts for easier printing due to its lengthy design. Print Settings Rafts: No Supports: Yes Resolution: High Infill: 25% - 75% Notes: The handle piece requires high resolution and supports because of intricate features in the center section. If you don't need high detail on the neck, you can lower the resolution without issue. Post-Printing Finishing To achieve a smooth finish, I recommend sanding down the print before applying any finishing touches. For ABS plastic models, use acetone vapor for optimal results - avoid brushing it directly onto the model as this can create unsightly brush strokes. Alternatively, if you're not comfortable working with acetone vapors, consider using spray paint primers to fill in small gaps and grooves. Then, simply paint over the primer coat. Regardless of your chosen method, be prepared for some sanding. To bring out the colors of my wand replica, paint the center piece a sleek silver color (glossy or shiny finish works well if you've used acetone vapor). For the rest of the model, aim for a dark polished wood look by painting over the remaining sections. Spray paint is a good option - use blue painter's tape to protect the wooden areas when painting the central section, and vice versa.
