Harry Potter Wand - 14" in two parts

This costume came together in no time for a last-minute favorite-book-character party. After tweaking the base model with MeshMixer, I split the top half into two pieces using Slic3r so it would print more easily on its side. The bottom half remained intact. As I printed each top piece separately, I glued them together with superglue. Unfortunately, the handle snapped off from the build plate just as it was finishing up, leaving it a bit shorter than planned. In hindsight, I should have added a brim to prevent that from happening. To fix it, I drilled a hole at the joint and inserted a short piece of dowel to hold everything in place. A small strip of black Gorilla tape covered the exposed infill on the bottom, but that's about it for this unfinished project.
