Harry Potter Style Lantern
thingiverse
My Wife had a vision for a unique Lantern that would shine brightly in our Audiobook Corner loft. She wanted it to resemble an ancient, weathered Harry Potter-style fixture, with a spooky, centuries-old look and feel. The design should feature animals and numerous small ornaments, giving it an air of whimsy and charm. So, I headed over to 3DMax and 3DCoat to create this lantern from scratch. Check out the entire build log on my website: http://sascharossier.com/?p=44844 Since I printed the lantern entirely in PLA, I opted for a LED filament bulb that doesn't heat up when used, ensuring safe operation. The provided files are only 10% of the original size; you'll need to adjust the scale to suit your needs for slicing. I printed mine at 650%, while the bulb holder was scaled up to 1000% to accommodate a standard E27 socket.
