Harry Potter House Badge book shelf corner bracers
thingiverse
These are reinforcing brackets designed for the upper corners of bookshelves, especially budget-friendly ones that start to sag and buckle after several years. You place them in the top and bottom corners of your shelf, drill a hole through the wood panels, and run a bolt through the hole on each end of the bracket. With one of these in each corner, the shelf should become much more stable. You could also go all out and use one for each individual shelf, making the entire unit even more secure. Such a setup is especially helpful when moving the shelves as this is when they are most prone to damage. My fiancé has several bookshelves that are leaning and buckling so I thought of something simple yet effective that would fix it. She's also a huge Harry Potter fan, so I found these HP badges to add to the brackets making them more than just plain plastic blocks. I've included a blank one if you don't want to use the HP theme or if you'd rather design your own.
