Harry Potter floating candles

No festive feast at Hogwarts would be complete without magical floating candles. Don't settle for anything less. The holders are easy to print and quick, allowing you to Wingardium Leviosa as many led candles as needed to light your dining room table. The first version is the strongest but requires threading candles on a fishing line (now I've given away the secret). Version 2 and 3 can be hooked anywhere along the line, making them easier to install but less strong. Version 2 works best with high-strength filament like PETG, while version 3 is sturdy enough for PLA. Candles can be found in Knockturn Alley or Amazon. I purchased B00P68DUGW on Amazon, but others of similar size should work as well. The candles use an IR remote to turn on and off. Around the winter holidays, we hang four dozen above the dining table. Holding down the button and making a grand sweeping gesture turns them all on or off. It's almost like magic the first time you do it. We talked about this and more on the 3D Printing Today podcast available on iTunes or Stitcher radio. Learn more at threedprintingtoday.com.
