Harrisburg PA
thingiverse
The area around (and North) of Harrisburg PA constructed with SRTM2STL using SRTM data from the Space Shuttle. The river is the Susquehanna. The print didn't come out that well so I am re-doing it with a slightly different recalculation of the region. I am magnifying the elevation to make the hills stand out more. I'll upload an updated print soon. The source code for creating these files is available up on github under the GNU license. Go to github and search for SRTM2STL. Instructions You may want to print this to be relatively small. I get warping using PLA and it gets bad when I try to print Raised Relief Maps that are big. I have had 'some' success with big maps. If you have a way to control warping you may also have better luck with big maps.
