Harpocrates
myminifactory
The ancient Egyptians worshipped a youthful deity named Harpocrates, who embodied silence, secrecy and confidentiality in the mystical traditions developed in Ptolemaic Alexandria. He was also revered as an embodiment of hope. The Greeks adopted this powerful figure from their Egyptian counterparts, where he was known as Horus, a god representing the newborn sun that rose majestically each day at dawn. Harpocrates's name is derived from the Hellenization of the ancient Egyptian title Har-pa-khered or Heru-pa-khered, which translates to "Horus the Young Son".
