Haro Coffee Grinder Lid (and similar Compatible grinders)
thingiverse
I stumbled upon a Taiwanese duplicate of the Hario Skerton grinder in a thrift shop for $4 that lacked a lid. This design was drawn from scratch in Tinkercad, with inspiration taken from "smellison"'s work on thingiverse.com/thing:356821. Key differences include a larger beveled central hole and small tabs at the corners of the larger piece, which provide a snap fit onto the grinder. Hinges were crafted using 0.025" stainless aircraft safety wire. I printed it with natural PETG at 255C, an 80C glass bed treated with gluestick, two shells, a first layer speed of 15mm/sec and a remaining layer speed of 25mm/sec. The floor thickness is 0.3mm, keeping the top clear and transparent, while the roof thickness is 0.8mm, providing just the right amount of stiffness. Print settings include using my CTC Makerbot clone, no rafts or supports, a resolution of .2mm, and an infill percentage of 7% "MoroccanStar". Notes on print settings include using natural PETG at 255C, an 80C bed temperature with glass treated with glue stick, a floor thickness of 0.3mm, two layers before infill starts, and a roof thickness of 0.8mm, with the first layer printed at 15mm/sec and remaining layers at 25mm/sec.
