Harness Strain Relief for Nema Stepper
thingiverse
Create this part for my Makerfarm Prusa i3 build, inspired by similar parts but designed to be durable. It helps prevent strain on wire harnesses; I used one on the x-carriage stepper and one on the extruder stepper. They're suitable in various applications involving NEMA 17 steppers. The design includes grooves for zip-tie usage, two for securing the harness with small ties and tabs to retain a large tie around the motor clip for added security. Printed both PLA and ABS; ABS is better due to PLA's tendency to warp over time from heat. The pictured versions are printed in ABS using standard settings (about .2mm layer height, 40% infill, 3 shells), though solid infill might be even better. To install, slip the clip over the stepper, feed wires through the gap if necessary, position it against the post, and secure with zip ties. A large tie can be routed under the post, wrapped around the clip, and tightened with pliers for extra security. Trim excess tie, and you're done. Consult photos in the gallery if needed.
