This 94.5:1 gearbox features a fully preassembled design that requires no additional support for printing. It is a unique harmonic drive, equipped with a flexible output ring for high gear reduction. Incorporating both a planetary gearset and an innovative crinkled shape for the flexible coupling, this design boasts involute gear teeth on both inside and outside edges. The belt's tapered tooth edges prevent stretching, while herringbone teeth ensure gear stability. Despite its challenges in slicing and printing, MakerWare has improved its slicing capabilities. Customizer can also be used to tailor gear ratios, tolerance, and width for better printability. However, note that Customizer may not function properly due to outdated OpenSCAD release. In such cases, manually adjust parameters in OpenSCAD.
