Harman/Kardon - rear speaker wallmount (reflex/dipol)
thingiverse
I designed this custom mount for home cinema to position Harman Kardon rear speakers perfectly. The original brackets wouldn't allow the speakers to be aligned with the upper wall, which is crucial in small rooms with limited space between the wall and couch to prevent intrusive sounds from entering. This design creates a pseudo dipole speaker setup, where sound waves bounce off the upper wall for optimal performance. To print this mount, you'll need to print the clamp part with support or stick together the clamp (half) part if you prefer to print without support. After printing, I applied spray filler and coated it with white acrylic paint. You can find a sanding drum online to smooth out the surface. To complete your project, you'll also need: - 2 x M8x20mm panhead screws - 2 x M8 nuts - 4 x 5x60mm panhead wallmount screws - Felt pads to secure parts and speakers together - Sanding paper for smoothing out the surface - Spray filler for filling in any gaps - Acrylic paint of your preferred color
