My trusty 2008 Harley-Davidson Road King Classic was long overdue for a fuel filter change, and I wasn't willing to shell out big bucks for a specialized tool. So, I took matters into my own hands and designed one myself. It works flawlessly with a 1/2" ratchet, as evidenced by the pictures I've included. The design ensures that it won't scratch the paint, so you can breathe easy. If you find yourself using too much force, simply spray a little WD40 onto the lock ring tabs before trying again. Be sure to wipe off any excess WD40 right away! To protect your tank from accidental scratches, cover it up with some towels while you work. Use one hand to keep the tool flat on the ring and the other to turn the ratchet. To unmount, turn the ratchet counterclockwise; to mount, turn it clockwise. I printed this design using 100% infill (for added strength) in PLA material. The process took approximately 12 hours to complete due to the high infill percentage.
