I've had a Hario Slim Coffee Grinder for years, and it consistently delivers - I use it two or three times a day to make my espresso without disrupting the household. It's also perfect when traveling outdoors or camping, paired with my Aeropress. However, the hopper lid only rests on top of the grinder, so I typically secure it in our picnic bag using rubber bands to prevent bean spills - although its elongated shape makes it challenging to keep in place. I decided to design and print a clip to hold the lid firmly in position. This updated version works exceptionally well, providing a satisfying click when applied from the side and keeping the lid securely in place. I manufactured it in PLA, expecting it to be quite durable. My initial Mk1 model featured a mechanism for clipping the handle to it as well, but I opted for simplicity this time around. If you're interested in experimenting with different parameters, I've included the FreeCAD file for your use.
