sketchfab
Area of carved outcrop located on Hare Crag, northeast of Doddington in Northumberland. This is one of several carvings discovered along a quarried outcrop that stretches approximately 200 meters. Some of these carvings are found in improved pastureland, while others are situated within a modern plantation. Recorded as Hare Law Crag Number 6 on the Beckensall Archive (BA), it was added to the English Heritage Record by NADRAP in 2008. The motifs consist of over a dozen cups featuring single, multiple rings or penannulars, some of which are severely eroded. Stan Beckensall revealed more than is visible on this model. The ERA record includes BA material: https://archaeologydataservice.ac.uk/era/section/panel/overview.jsf?eraId=13. Historic England scheduling can be found at https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1006556. A 3D model was created in September 2019 from two stereo pairs captured by Kevin Malloy in July 2007. The imagery formed part of the ERA / NADRAP archive.
