sketchfab
Area of carved outcrop on Hare Crag, northeast of Doddington in Northumberland. This is one of numerous carvings discovered along an area of quarried outcrop, stretching approximately 200 meters. Some of these carvings are located in improved pastureland, while others lie within a modern plantation. Recorded as Hare Law Crag 5 on the Beckensall Archive (BA), it was added to ERA by NADRAP in 2008. Motifs consist of a cup with multiple rings and partial rings, accompanied by grooves. Stan Beckensall revealed far more than is visible on this model. The ERA record includes BA material: https://archaeologydataservice.ac.uk/era/section/panel/overview.jsf?eraId=15. Historic England scheduling can be accessed here: https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1006556. This 3D model was created in September 2019 from a stereo pair captured by Kevin Malloy in September 2007. The imagery is part of the ERA/NADRAP archive.
