sketchfab
Area of intricately carved outcrop on Hare Crag, northeast of Doddington in Northumberland. This particular site is one of several carvings discovered along a 200-meter stretch of quarried rock face, with some situated within improved pasture and others nestled within a modern plantation. Recorded as Hare Law Crag 3 by the Beckensall Archive (BA), it was added to the ERA database in 2008 by NADRAP. The motifs present consist of a cup-and-ring design, cups accompanied by partial rings and grooves. ERA record incorporating BA material can be accessed at: https://archaeologydataservice.ac.uk/era/section/panel/overview.jsf?eraId=17. Historic England has listed the site as part of their scheduled monuments: https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1006556. A 3D model of the area was created in September 2019, utilizing two stereo pairs captured by Kevin Malloy in September 2007. The imagery used to create this model is derived from the ERA/NADRAP archive.
