This design modifies a Prusa Mendel by omitting components such as 6 threaded rods, 28 M8 nuts, 32 M8 washers, 4 M3 bolts, 4 M3 nuts, and 4 M3 washers. The reduction is possible due to the printer's triangles being fully printed, enabling friction-fit assembly without tools or additional parts. However, the design consumes more plastic than a regular Prusa, potentially negating cost savings from reduced vitamins. Additionally, structural integrity on the x-axis may be compromised. The entire printer minus the extruder can be assembled using four plates, each nearly filling the 200x200 mm build space of a Mendel. Models were sourced from GitHub and Thingiverse, along with a parametric frame vertex by Matthew Roberts. Assembling the triangles requires careful alignment, as disassembly may damage the pieces. To print a whole RepRap, use three provided plates: two topVertexPlates and one each of leftVertexPlate and rightVertexPlate. Other printer parts are copied from Prusa's latest Mendel on GitHub.
