Hardrock Microphone Pop-Filter
cults3d
The microphone pop filter or shield is a must-have for anyone who wants to reduce popping sounds when recording. It's made up of three main parts: the base, the telescopic arm, and two circular rings that keep everything in place. To get started, you'll need to put some thin material like nylon pantyhose over the inner ring. This will help absorb sound waves and prevent unwanted noises from entering your recordings. The telescopic arm is adjustable, extending from 5.5 inches to 8.6 inches in length. It's held in place by two M3 bolts that can be glued to a "nut" model if you want extra security. When it comes to attaching the inner ring to the outer one, nine M3 bolts are recommended for maximum stability. However, one bolt would actually do the job just fine – but nine give it a cool, hard-rock look. You can also add M3 nuts to the outer ring to keep everything tight, although the holes in PLA are usually strong enough on their own.
