Hard Surface Character Sci-fi
3docean
This is part of my personal project to bring a hard surface character to life, entirely created within Maya. The entire character was crafted from scratch in Maya, and I've included a zip file containing the scene folder for you to explore. To help visualize the character's form, I've set up a 3-point light scene that clearly showcases its features. Each component of the character is carefully separated into distinct layers, ensuring easy modification and manipulation. The UVs were laid out using UV headlayout, so the character is now ready for texturing. Simple shaders have been included for visualization purposes as well. The character stands at a realistic hero size, measuring 2 meters in length. It took me around 5 weeks to complete this project, and I'm eager to hear your thoughts on it. I've also provided information about the character's poly count: as a low-poly model, it boasts an impressive 20,098 polygons. When subdivided, it retains every detail with a staggering 320,536 vertices and 320,536 polygons. If you require other formats, please let me know, and I'll do my best to accommodate your needs.
